Set within a peaceful, elevated position, Birchley Fold comprises just seven individually considered four and five-bedroom detached homes, each crafted in natural Yorkshire stone and thoughtfully designed to complement its surroundings.

Birchley Fold Now Launched – New Homes Near Silsden and Kildwick

The Carriages is entering its final chapter, with homeowners now moved in, the remaining works progressing quickly and just two homes still available.
Set at the edge of Oxenhope, this small collection of eight natural stone homes has been designed to feel at home within the village, combining traditional materials with thoughtful layouts for modern living.
With the development now taking shape as a lived-in community, the final two homes offer two very different opportunities to become part of it.

Verity & Co Homes has strengthened its senior leadership team with the promotion of Claire Dewhurst to Head of Commercial, alongside the appointments of Maison Mokoena as Head of Land & Planning and Tom Pardey as Technical Director.
The appointments follow Robert Wilkinson’s move into the role of Operations Director and mark an important step in developing the team behind the independent, family-owned housebuilder. As the business approaches its 40th year, the strengthened senior team will help Verity & Co Homes continue to grow thoughtfully while staying close to the values that have guided it for four decades.
Founded as a family business and still family-owned today, Verity & Co Homes has built close to 4,000 homes across Yorkshire and Lancashire. Its continued independence has allowed the company to take a long-term view, building lasting relationships with customers, colleagues, subcontractors and local communities.
Claire joined Verity & Co Homes in January as Senior Quantity Surveyor and has made a significant impression in a short period of time. Her commercial knowledge, positive approach and willingness to support the wider business have made her a valued member of the team from day one.
Her promotion to Head of Commercial recognises the hard work, leadership and commitment she has shown since joining the company. In her new role, Claire will lead the commercial function and work closely with the construction, technical and finance teams across Verity & Co Homes’ developments.
Maison Mokoena joins as Head of Land & Planning, bringing extensive experience in land acquisition and planning. He will help identify and progress the right development opportunities to support the company’s considered approach to growth.
Tom Pardey becomes Technical Director, leading the technical team and overseeing the design and delivery of current and future developments
The three appointments strengthen key areas of the business at an important point in its history. With Robert now leading the company’s operational teams, the new structure is designed to bring commercial, technical, construction, finance, land and planning expertise closer together, supporting the careful delivery of new homes while protecting the quality and attention to detail for which the business is known.

However, a mortgage option highlighted by our independent mortgage partners at New Homes Mortgage Helpline could make purchasing a new-build home possible for more buyers.
Through Perenna’s new-build mortgage offering, an eligible housebuilder incentive may be used towards the required 5% deposit.
Depending on the buyer’s circumstances and the incentive available, this could help reduce the amount they need to contribute towards their deposit from personal savings.

Could a housebuilder incentive help cover your new-build deposit?

Our FD, Rob at Pendle Farm admiring the view

Rob joined us last year as Finance Director and has quickly become a valued part of the business, bringing people together, strengthening the way we work, and helping us prepare for the next chapter of growth.
His new role comes as Verity & Co Homes approaches 40 years of building homes across Yorkshire and Lancashire. Since 1986, we have remained proudly independent and family-owned, building close to 4,000 homes and working with a trusted network of local subcontractors and suppliers across the region.
At a time when independent housebuilders have become increasingly rare, our 40th year is an opportunity to reflect on what has shaped us, while continuing to look forward. For us, that means growing carefully, building thoughtfully, and staying close to the values that have guided the business for nearly four decades.

What makes a home work for entertaining

Introducing Birchley Fold, Silsden

Each double bedroom has been designed around a king-sized bed from the very beginning. Not added in later, but planned for as part of the layout itself.
It’s a subtle decision, but an important one.
Because a bedroom should feel generous, not just in size, but in how it works day to day. There is space to move naturally, to place bedside tables comfortably, and to create a room that feels calm and well balanced.
It allows the bed to sit properly within the space, without compromise so you can truly feel at home in your bedroom.
This approach reflects a wider principle behind The Carriages. Thoughtful design that considers how a home is actually lived in, and how it should feel over time.
A bedroom should be somewhere you can properly switch off.
