POP UP SHOW HOME NOW OPEN IN THE ELDER &#8211; PLOT 29&#8230;.



We are thrilled to share some exciting news with you. We are closing our Show Home in Plot 1 at The Alders, Skipton, and it will soon become the warm abode for a new family.



Closing the doors of The Middleton in Plot 1 signifies the end of one chapter but opens another. We are delighted to introduce a temporary pop-up show home in <a href="https://www.skiptonproperties.com/property/the-elder-plot-29/">The Elder</a>, showcasing our innovative bungalow concept in Plot 29. We kindly ask for your understanding and patience as we navigate through this transition period, ensuring that every detail aligns seamlessly with our commitment to excellence. We&#8217;ll let you know as soon as we are ready, however, please note that our Sales Office will be in the Elder whilst we transform the space so feel free to pop in or book an appointment in the meantime.

This Show Home will exemplify the spacious luxury of three-storey living, a feature in all of our homes remaining at the Alders in Skipton. A NEW Show Home Pop Up is coming in Skipton!

Our team, in collaboration with <a href="https://www.ydmt.org/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust</a>, have been tirelessly working this morning to plant 200 trees at <a href="https://www.skiptonproperties.com/developments/the-alders/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Alders development in Skipton</a>, with an additional 800 trees to be planted later this year. We were thrilled to also receive a helping hand from some of our wonderful residents who volunteered their time and energy to join us in this endeavour.

Celebrating <a href="https://naw.appawards.co.uk/">#NationalApprenticeshipWeek2024,</a> we&#8217;re thrilled to introduce Poppy, our newest apprentice in the Sales and Marketing department!



As part of our introduction process, we&#8217;ve had the pleasure of interviewing Poppy with five &#8220;get to know me&#8221; questions, where her personality has shone through.



What inspired you to pursue a career in sales and marketing? I have always enjoyed things that allow me to use my creative skills, I like that it is a continuously challenging role, in Sales and Marketing you often encounter challenges and must react to changes in consumer behaviours. I would say the thing that inspired me the most was the prospects, as sales and marketing can offer a clear path for career progression in lots of different avenues.



What do you hope to achieve during your time as an apprentice in our company? I hope to gain industry knowledge and a deep understanding of sales and marketing principles, strategies, and techniques. I also hope to learn graphic design skills and help to upkeep the brand identity.



What&#8217;s one skill or area of knowledge you&#8217;re excited to develop during your time here? I hope to develop my customer-facing skills and gain confidence with my contributions to projects.



Outside of work, what are some of your hobbies or interests? Outside of work I enjoy seeing live music and attending festivals, I also like to go on big walks with my friends, family, and doggies.



If you were to describe yourself using three adjectives, which ones would you choose? I would say sociable, enthusiastic, and open-minded.

Generosity Shines as Community Comes Together for a Magical Christmas



The<a href="https://ssia.org.uk/"> Skipton Step Into Action</a> Christmas Elves appeal 2023 has wrapped up another successful year, thanks to the overwhelming support from the local community. A heartfelt message from the organiser extends gratitude to donors and volunteers who played a crucial role in making Christmas special for 152 children across 59 families in Skipton and its surrounding villages.



The appeal, which saw an outpouring of generosity, managed to raise approximately £9500 through monetary donations, gifts, and other items. This substantial sum has been directly channelled towards ensuring that each child received a tailored Christmas present, valued up to £25, making sure that their wishes came true.

Parents were given the opportunity to request specific gifts for their children, and the organisers went above and beyond by supplementing the presents with a selection box, hand-knitted hats or scarves, books, games, toys, stationery, craft kits, and accessories.



A team of 45 dedicated volunteers played a pivotal role in the success of the appeal, from promoting it to local communities and businesses to collecting, sorting, wrapping, and delivering 152 bags of presents.

Reflecting on the community&#8217;s generosity, <a href="https://ssia.org.uk/">Skipton Step Into Action</a> expressed gratitude for the privilege of bringing together those in need with those willing to help. The impact of this initiative was clearly visible through the heartfelt feedback received from the families supported:

In recent news from <a href="https://www.theguardian.com/uk">The Guardian</a>, a top estate agent shared that UK house prices are likely to go up in 2024, defying earlier expectations of a decline. This boost is thanks to a competitive mortgage pricing battle and the anticipation of interest rate cuts by the Bank of England, sparking renewed interest in the property market.



After a year of prices falling in 2023, global property consultancy Knight Frank has changed its prediction. They now expect UK house prices to increase by 3% in 2024, overturning the earlier estimate of a 4% drop.



Against a backdrop of decreasing inflation and growing excitement about potential interest rate cuts, Knight Frank believes that the recent increase in mortgage approvals will lead to a significant rise in property transactions. They predict a potential increase of at least 10% in transactions throughout the year.



Adding to the positive outlook, the online property website <a href="https://www.rightmove.co.uk/">Rightmove</a> reports a considerable rise in asking prices for new sellers. Between December and January, asking prices went up by an average of 1.3%, equal to £4,571. This increase is the most significant for this time of year since before the pandemic, suggesting a strong and thriving UK housing market in 2024.
