<p>Both properties have been styled with beautiful kitchens, quartz worktops, luxury flooring and original real oak beams. The specification also includes energy-efficient technology, premium fixtures, and contemporary interior design.</p>



<p>These original buildings have been re-imagined into two beautiful and unique three bedroom homes, creating a flexible living space that can adapt to the needs and demands of modern family life.</p>



<p>On the lower level, a spacious living room welcomes you from the entrance hall, offering access to the convenient under-stairs storage. Flowing seamlessly, the living room extends into an expansive open-plan kitchen/dining area, forming a spacious and interconnected living space. The free standing island kitchen design is ideal for entertaining, the lush turfed garden and sizable patio through double patio doors, perfect for indoor-outdoor gatherings.</p>



<p>Upstairs there are two double bedrooms and a single leading off the central landing. The master suite is especially large, accommodating a spacious en-suite, while the remaining bedrooms share a family bathroom with bath.</p>

<p>For <strong>Plot 76</strong>, The Taylor, we went for a stunning Halesworth sage green &amp; porcelain kitchen design with bespoke Knurled Aged Brass effect handles, these handles are not only unique but bring warmth and a rustic texture into the kitchen, the sleek Miami Vena Quartz worktop, our most popular, was an easy choice. For the bathroom we went with a Monteverde Oak tile which brings a clean contemporary look yet still embodies the rustic feel throughout the home. </p>

<p>For <strong>Plot 77</strong>, The Taylor, we opted for the Chelford Navy, imparting a sophisticated and contemporary ambiance. The navy units stand in contrast against the pristine white Miami Vena Quartz worktops, creating an elegant visual balance. To complement the navy design, we selected a combination of classic round doorknobs and cupped handles, both with an aged brass effect, adding a touch of timeless charm to the space.</p>



<p>One of our favourite features of <strong>Plot 77</strong> is the Cast Dark Blue tiles in the En-suite, the dark navy tiles echo the color palette of the kitchen units, creating a sense of flow throughout the living space. This colour consistency gives the sense of a well thought out space and also looks great in contrast with the dark oak beams.</p>

Move in Time for Summer – The Alders, Skipton


<p>In a significant move to support aspiring homeowners, Santander has announced that it will be offering 5% deposit mortgages on new-build homes, marking a remarkable shift from the previous requirements of 15%. The new mortgage product will be available from tomorrow.</p>



<p>This step signifies Santander&#8217;s commitment to easing the path to homeownership, particularly for those facing the daunting challenge of saving for a hefty deposit while managing rental payments. Graham Sellar, head of development mortgages at Santander, emphasised the importance of addressing this obstacle, stating, &#8220;We know that saving for a deposit is one of the biggest hurdles for aspiring homeowners, especially for those juggling rental payments against trying to save.&#8221;</p>



<p>Under this new scheme, customers opting for new-build homes will have the opportunity to secure their dream property with just a 5% deposit. </p>



<p>David O&#8217;Leary, executive director at the Home Builders Federation, expressed enthusiasm for Santander&#8217;s initiative, highlighting the urgent need to address the housing shortage and facilitate access to homeownership. He remarked, &#8220;Santander&#8217;s introduction of 95% mortgages for new-build homes is extremely welcome. Most of us recognise that there is a shortage of homes and it’s becoming harder for younger households to step into homeownership.&#8221;</p>

<p>Our valued colleague Rosie has completed the London Marathon, achieving an official finishing time of 4 hours and 41 seconds!</p>

While Rosie was fortunate to secure a spot through the marathon&#8217;s ballot, she went above and beyond by setting a fundraising target of £500. In a true testament to her dedication and the support of her community, Rosie surpassed this goal with flying colours, <a href="https://www.justgiving.com/page/rosie-wood-1708962079737"><strong>raising an astounding £1731 </strong></a>(with more donations still coming in).</p>



<p>But Rosie&#8217;s marathon journey wasn&#8217;t just about personal accomplishment—it was about making a difference. With a commitment to giving back to her community, Rosie dedicated her run to supporting <a href="https://www.sueryder.org/end-of-life-care/our-hospices-and-care-centres/find-a-local-care-service/sue-ryder-manorlands-hospice/">Manorlands, a local hospice</a> that provides care for individuals and families in need. </p>



<p>Reflecting on her marathon experience, Rosie said:</p>

Many would have been faced with either taking out a longer-term mortgage, opting for a house in a lower price bracket or simply to carry on living where they are.”</p>

<p>Our team, in collaboration with <strong><a href="https://www.ydmt.org/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust</a>,</strong> have been tirelessly working this morning to plant 200 trees at <strong><a href="https://www.skiptonproperties.com/developments/the-alders/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Alders development in Skipton</a>, </strong>with an additional 800 trees to be planted later this year. We were thrilled to also receive a helping hand from some of our wonderful residents who volunteered their time and energy to join us in this endeavour. </p>
