A Quiet Corner of Silsden

The Willows, Silsden

The Willows sits in a quiet corner of Silsden, where open fields meet the canal and life moves at a gentler pace. It’s a place for those who want calm surroundings with simple connections to the wider area.

The development introduced a mix of natural stone homes, including two new designs for us — the Chadwick and the Woodrow — offering light-filled rooms, bi-fold doors and thoughtful three-storey layouts. Each home was created with care and built to last. We’ve not yet entered The Willows into an award, but it’s a development we’re proud of… and its moment may well come.

Homes Shaped for Village Life

Croft Mill, Foulridge

Croft Mill is a collection of seventeen stone-built homes set between the canal and open countryside, a place that quickly felt woven into village life. The homes were designed with a quiet sense of ease, generous light, flexible spaces and materials that feel right for Foulridge.

The development was named Regional Winner at the 2025 LABC Building Excellence Awards for Best Medium Volume New Housing Development, a recognition of the care and craft that shaped it.

It also holds personal meaning for us. Croft Mill was one of the last sites bought by our founder, Brian Verity, whose instinct for spotting potential in overlooked places continues to guide us.

A development in our home town

The Alders, Skipton

The Alders, Skipton, in North Yorkshire is a community of 98 two, three- and four-bedroom homes. The development was recognised three times by LABC Brick Awards for outstanding site standards. It stands as a showcase of the care, craftsmanship, and attention to detail that define every home we build.

Even as one of our larger communities, The Alders still feels personal, a place with warmth and character, where thoughtful design has created a true sense of home.

Honouring heritage through thoughtful regeneration

Ebor Mills, Haworth

More than 200 years after Ebor Mills first began producing textiles, we brought new life to this historic site in Haworth in West Yorkshire, restoring original mill buildings and creating a collection of new homes beside Bridgehouse Beck. Recognised regionally at the LABC Awards for ‘Best High Volume Housing Development’ and nationally as part of our ‘Best Residential Developer’ win, it stands as one of our most challenging and rewarding projects.

Parson Meadow Addingham Stone and Light

Natural stone homes in a beautiful village

Parsons Meadow, Addingham

Parsons Meadow is a collection of just six unique natural stone homes in the village of Addingham, West Yorkshire. We introduced several new house styles at this small development. Homes are traditional in material yet modern in spirit, featuring contemporary balconies and detailing that bring a fresh twist to classic design.

A development in natural, random stone

The Sycamores, Coniston Cold

A collection of just eight natural stone homes overlooking open countryside in Coniston Cold, North Yorkshire, including two carefully refurbished barns. These are homes shaped around how people actually live, with quiet corners, generous light and views that draw the landscape in.

Built in natural random stone with aluminium windows, each home sits comfortably in its surroundings. The development feels settled, as though it’s always been part of the village.

Recognised at the 2022 LABC Building Excellence Awards as Regional Highly Commended, The Sycamores shows how thoughtful design and craftsmanship can bring a rural site to life in a way that feels both respectful and lasting.

Restoring a Piece of Skipton’s Story

St Stephen’s Place, Skipton

St. Stephen’s Place brings new purpose to the former St. Stephen’s School and Presbytery in Skipton. Completed in 2021, the development includes the careful conversion of the main school into four apartments, the restoration of two historic cottages, and the transformation of the presbytery into three individual homes. Three new stone-built houses complete the scheme, arranged around shared green spaces at its centre.

These buildings have stood here since 1854 and hold a place in local memory. The project was also one of our founder’s favourites. Having lived in Skipton for most of his life, he took real pride in bringing buildings like these back into use with care.

The development was recognised at the 2021 LABC Building Excellence Awards as the Regional Winner for Best Residential Conversion or Alteration.

Reimagining a Former Mill at the Heart of Sabden

Victoria Fold, Sabden

Victoria Fold sits on the former Victoria Mill site in Sabden, Lancashire, where we created a collection of 3, 4 and 5 bedroom homes using much of the reclaimed stone from the old mill. The design takes its cues from the village’s industrial past, while feeling fully part of Sabden today. It was a development the local community followed closely, especially when we temporarily diverted Sabden Brook to open up and enhance the watercourse.

We retained the original mill chimney by carefully dividing it into two smaller “ecological towers”, adding bird and bat boxes and giving the structure a new purpose. Alongside the rebuilt mill-style buildings and the restored Marbill office, these features help keep the story of the site alive while creating a place that genuinely belongs in the village.

Victoria Fold was recognised as a North West finalist for Best Small New Housing Development at the 2020 LABC Warranty Awards.

Looking Back

Here’s a collection of developments that sit a little further back in our timeline. Each one reflects the same care, craft and attention to detail we bring to every place we build, and together they offer a clear picture of the communities we’ve created across Yorkshire and Lancashire..
