At Verity & Co Homes, every home is built by people who care, from the family who founded the company, to the colleagues who’ve grown with us, to the new talent shaping our future. Together, our team brings the craft, pride, and attention to detail that define our homes across Yorkshire and Lancashire.
Our story began in 1986 with Brian Verity, whose belief in doing things properly set the foundation for everything we do. Today, his daughters Sarah Barraclough and Caroline van Niekerk carry that legacy forward, shaping Verity & Co Homes with that same dedication, with Sarah leading the business with a passion she truly lives and breathes.

In April 2023, Skipton Properties received the NFB Member Special Recognition Award, presented to our founder, Brian Verity. The award celebrates individuals who’ve made an outstanding contribution to both the construction industry and their communities — recognition that reflects not only Brian’s achievements but the company he built.
Brian led the business for over three decades, shaping a culture grounded in integrity, craftsmanship, and care. His belief was simple: homes should be built to last, and built with heart. That principle continues to guide us today, influencing how we design, build, and support the communities we create.
