“Our home is very warm and insulated, with no drafts unlike our previous home. We loved the natural stone, the curb appeal, and the general quality of the build.”

Croft Mill, Foulridge

We’re delighted to share the story of one of our families at Croft Mill, Foulridge, who moved into a beautiful new ‘Read’ home. With young children and a busy lifestyle, they wanted a home that offered convenience, quality, and a welcoming community and Croft Mill provided just that.

What initially attracted you to Croft Mill as a development?

“We liked that it isn’t a large development, it feels intimate and safe. We have young children, so we’re glad it isn’t on the main road for when they’re playing out. We didn’t live in a new build before, and with a baby, we had no time to renovate a second-hand home. We Part Exchanged our previous home, so we had less to worry about as we didn’t have to sell our previous home the traditional way.”

What do you love most about living at Croft Mill?

“We feel as though the open-plan layout works better for us as a family with young children. We also like to host and entertain, so it’s nice to be all together as a family rather than missing out on things when cooking in the kitchen and keeping an eye on the children.”

Would you choose Verity & Co Homes again if you were to move, and why?

“Yes, definitely! The buying process was seamless. The Sales Advisor was great, and the recommended mortgage advisor and solicitors all communicated very well and made the process rather stress-free.”

Is there anything we could have done to improve your overall experience?

“Not really, all snags were corrected quickly, some of which we didn’t even notice ourselves.”

Our Homes Collection

The Read

Part of our Homes Collection, The Read is a design we know inside out. It’s been both our show home and our office over the years, giving us the chance to live with it, to see how light moves through the rooms, how people flow through the space, and how it simply works.

A three-bedroom home with quiet confidence, The Read pairs character with practicality. Its bay window brings warmth and light to the living area, while the open layout creates a natural gathering space for family life. Upstairs, the two principal bedrooms are spacious and calm, offering balance and comfort in equal measure.

Tried, tested, and refined through experience, The Read has earned its place in our collection, a home that feels instantly welcoming, designed with care, and built to last.
